Some stones never reach a shop window. They move between cutters, dealers and private collections, and the only way to see them is to know the people holding them. That is the whole of our brokering service: you tell us what you are looking for, and we spend our time — not yours — finding it, checking it, and putting it in front of you with nothing hidden. We work northern Pakistan and Afghanistan, and nowhere else.
Whether you are after a five-carat Panjshir emerald for a single ring, a matched pair for earrings, or a parcel to take to your own bench, the process is the same. We work to your brief, we tell you plainly what a stone is worth, and we walk away from anything we would not buy ourselves.

We go and look
We ask the cutters and dealers we have known for years in northern Pakistan and Afghanistan. Most searches take two to six weeks.

You choose from a few
We send you three or four stones, all photographed the same way, with size, weight, any treatment, and an honest note on what is good and what is not.

You get the stone
It is tested by an independent lab before you pay, then shipped insured. You can take it loose or have our bench set it for you.

1. What we are agreeing to
When you send us a brief we agree to look for a stone matching it. We do not promise that such a stone exists, or that it can be found within a particular time or budget. Nothing in a brief obliges you to buy, and nothing obliges us to continue a search we no longer believe in.
2. Fees
Searching costs you nothing. Where we sell you a stone from our own stock, the price you are quoted is the price you pay. Where we broker a stone held by a third party, our commission is agreed with you in writing before any purchase and is included in the quoted figure — never added afterwards.
3. Disclosure
Every stone is described with any treatment we know of or reasonably suspect — heat, oil, resin, diffusion, irradiation or fracture filling. Where treatment cannot be established without testing, we say so plainly rather than guessing in our own favour.
4. Certification
Stones above an agreed value are sent to an independent laboratory before completion, at our cost. If a report contradicts how we described the stone, the sale is cancelled and any deposit returned in full.
5. Photographs and colour
Photographs are taken under consistent lighting and are not retouched to improve colour. Even so, screens differ, and no photograph is a substitute for seeing a stone. Viewings can be arranged by appointment, and video calls on request.
6. Payment and title
Title passes on cleared funds. Deposits secure a stone for fourteen days. We do not accept cash above the limits set by Pakistani law, and we keep the records that anti-money-laundering rules require of us.
7. Shipping and risk
Stones travel fully insured by a courier we nominate, and risk stays with us until delivery is signed for. Import duties and taxes at the destination are the buyer's responsibility.
8. Returns
Loose stones may be returned within fourteen days of delivery for a full refund, provided they are unset, unaltered and accompanied by their certification. Stones cut, set or modified to your instruction cannot be returned unless they are not as described.
9. Confidentiality
We do not disclose what you bought, what you paid, or that you are a client, to anyone, at any time, unless the law requires it of us.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. We would always rather resolve a disagreement by talking; if that fails, the courts of Islamabad have jurisdiction.
